Former Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria criticized Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua harshly shortly after President William Ruto named him as a senior advisor in the Council of Economic Advisors.
Speaking at Wycliffe Oparanya’s homecoming event attended by Ruto, Kuria accused Gachagua of promoting division for personal political interests, warning that such actions would alienate the Mt. Kenya region from the rest of the country, hindering national unity efforts.
“I urge the people of Mt. Kenya not to be misled into isolation.
Unity is key to progress,” emphasized Moses Kuria, cautioning leaders against deceptive politics.
He also praised President Ruto for the advisory appointment, pledging to contribute solutions to ministry challenges. Kuria’s criticism of Gachagua followed the deputy president’s assertion of successfully uniting the Mt Kenya region and his dismissal of critics opposing his unity stance during a speech in Kajado County.
