Captain Jane Hato of Kenya Starlets U20 is reportedly missing.

According to the Football Kenya Federation (FKF), Hato had been missing since Wednesday evening but her teammates initially thought that her absence was a minor delay but when absence spilled over to Thursday the situation became more concerning.

“The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has been made aware of the concerning situation involving Jane Hato, the captain of the Kenya U20 Women’s National Team and a player for Kenya Bullets FC,” read a post from the federation.

According to her teammates, Jane did not show up for their journey for the CAF Women’s Champions League Zonal Qualifiers held in Ethiopia which raised their concern.

Jane is also a midfield player of Kenya Police  Bullets FC which has equally confirmed her missing and asked anyone with her whereabouts to report to the nearest police station.

“We urge anyone with information that could assist in locating Jane to come forward and contact the nearest police station,” the federation stated.

Members of Jane’s family who reside in Saika estate along Kangundo road have neither seen nor heard from her since she left home on Wednesday.

According to Jane’s mum, Anne Aluoch, she last saw her daughter when she was leaving for the competitions in Ethiopia.

“I last saw her at 7.30 pm yesterday [Wednesday] when she was leaving home,” she confirmed, describing that Jane was dressed in a navy blue tracksuit and orange sports shoes when she was leaving.

Before joining Kenya Police Bullets FC, Jane had played for the Mathare United women’s team.

Anyone with whereabouts that can help locate Jane is urged to report to the nearest police station or contact her mother via 0710 322 573 or Jectan from FKF on 0727 382 466.
