Ten New CS’s are Nominated by President Ruto [List]

President William Ruto has nominated the second batch of Cabinet Secretaries to his government.

The nominees include;

1. John Mbadi- National Treasury

2. Salim Mvurya – Ministry of Trade, Investment and Industry

3. Rebecca Miano- Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife

4. Opiyo Wandayi- Ministry of Energy

5. Kipchumba Murkomen- Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

6. Hassan Joho- Ministry of Mining

7. Alfred Mutua- Ministry of Labour and Social Protection

8. Wycliffe Oparanya- Ministry of Cooperatives and SMES

9. Justine Muturi- Ministry of Public Service

10. Stella Soi- Ministry of Gender, Culture, Arts and Heritage.

President Ruto noted that he is still working on the other pending nominees to his government.

“I am still working on other pending nominees and I will be announcing them shortly,” Ruto stated.

On Friday last week, the Head of State nominated the first batch of 11 cabinet secretaries.

The nominees were; Kithure Kindiki (Ministry of Interior), Davis Chirchir (Ministry of Transport and Roads), Alice Wahome (Lands and Public Works), Aden Duale (Environment), Soipan Tuya( Defence)

Others were; Debra Mulongo Barasa (Health), Julius Migosi Ogamba (Education), Andrew Mwihia (Agriculture), Eric Muriithi Muuga (Water) and Margaret Nyambura Ndung’u (ICT).

Ruto had initially nominated Duale to the Ministry of Defence but reassigned him to the Ministry of Environment. 

He reassigned Tuya from the Ministry of Environment and nominated her to the Defence docket. 

Ruto had also nominated Rebecca Miano as the Attorney General but reassigned her to the Tourism docket.
