Suspected Transformer Thieves Caught in Eldoret

Suspected transformer thieves apprehended in Eldoret – Each transformer sold for Ksh 200,000.

Law enforcement officials have arrested individuals involved in transformer theft following an intelligence-led operation.

The suspects reportedly dismantle transformers at night and sell each unit for Ksh 200,000 to two businesswomen based in Eldoret City.

The illicit traders have been identified, with one already in police custody.

The suspects are suspected of being responsible for the vandalism of KPLC transformers in Uasin Gishu and Nandi counties.
