Ruto Partners with Njenga and Macarena to Boost Appeal in Mt. Kenya

Ruto Engages Njenga and Macarena to Strengthen Appeal in Mt. Kenya
Has RUTO engaged the services of MAINA NJENGA and MACARENA after concluding that KINDIKI cannot assist him in the Mt. Kenya region?
President William Ruto has reportedly included former Mungiki leader, Maina Njenga, and Meru-based political activist, Mike Macarena, in his administration. Both individuals were part of the Azimio One Kenya Alliance during the 2022 elections, where they supported former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s presidential campaign.
To further his national unification efforts, Ruto has enlisted Maina Njenga and Macarena to promote his agenda in the Mt. Kenya region.
During the last election, the Mt. Kenya region predominantly supported Ruto. However, following the impeachment of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua last year, the President appears to have diminished popularity in this vote-rich area.
In an effort to enhance his re-election prospects in 2027, Ruto has sought the expertise of Maina Njenga and Macarena to mitigate Rigathi Gachagua’s influence.
They have been assigned the responsibility of ensuring Rigathi Gachagua does not hold any subsequent rallies or meetings in the region.
Reports indicate that the two have been promised millions of shillings in return for their efforts.
