Ongoing Market Saturation of Chrome Book Laptops and its Under Belly.

There is an ongoing market saturation of Chrome Book “laptops” going for between 8,500 and 12,000. Dear parent and student, that is the most useless thing you can purchase. They are going for that cheap, brand new because they were probably dumped here, since nobody wanted them.

The chrome book was supposed to be a cloud access terminal, where all your work is done in your Google Drive and the chrome book is the way to interface with it. That’s why the chrome book only comes with a meagre 32 gb of storage which is almost entirely occupied by the operating system. The assumption being that all your things will be stored in the Google Drive which you pay a subscription for after exceeding a certain limit. Of course all this would also require very high speed Internet.

Long and short of it, if you are looking for a functional laptop with adequate local storage, just avoid the chrome book hype.
