DP Kindiki Reveals Why He No Longer Attends Church with Ruto

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki aimed to clarify why he doesn’t frequently attend church services alongside President William Ruto, unlike his predecessor Rigathi Gachagua.

Speaking at a thanksgiving service at Friends Church (Quakers) in Navakholo Constituency, Kakamega County, Kindiki mentioned that as the executive, they opted to engage with the public through various visits.

Consequently, attending the same services would limit their ability to connect with the masses.

“We have chosen to split into different groups to maximize our outreach. That’s why you may notice President Ruto visiting another location today,” he elaborated.

Kindiki has followed his boss’ pattern of attending church services every other Sunday. Nonetheless, the two rarely attend the same church simultaneously.

In his remarks, Kindiki emphasized that the separate visits by senior officials are intended to spread development across the entire country.

“We do this so that the government can ensure the inclusion of all Kenyans. If we all gather in one location, the progress of development will be hampered,” Kindiki asserted.

The former cabinet secretary for Interior reassured Kenyans that they need not worry if they see different officials making separate visits, as this is their plan to engage with the public.
