- A section of leaders from Kericho has endorsed President William Ruto’s partial cabinet that he nominated on Friday.
Kericho leaders have given President William Ruto’s partial cabinet, which he appointed on Friday, their support.
Talking during a political occasion on Saturday, the pioneers drove by Kipkelion West MP Hillary Kosgei, communicated their fulfillment with the names fronted by the Head of State, who is looking to rebuild his administration subsequent to confronting a rush of resistance from Kenyans for more than one month at this point.
While approving the new nominees, the leaders stressed the importance of combating corruption at a time when Kenya’s economy is struggling to recover from severe shocks.
He stated, “We are satisfied in terms of the people who have been brought aboard; their names will be presented to Parliament, and we will carry out our responsibility as members of the National Assembly.”
The leaders expressed their gratitude to the President for having faith and remaining loyal to some of the Cabinet Secretaries who had previously been in the cabinet.
For instance, the leaders expressed confidence in the reappointment of Aden Duale to the Ministry of Defense docket.
In addition, the leaders asserted that Davis Chirchir’s previous Energy docket performance was sufficient to warrant a second attempt at the cabinet.
This follows President William Ruto’s Friday nomination of 11 new Cabinet members amid reports that the Head of State wants to give the opposition Azimio Coalition seven slots.
Kithure Kindiki was named Interior CS by Ruto; Alice Wahome was named Lands CS; Aden Duale was named Defense CS; Soipan Tuya was named Environment CS; and former Trade CS Rebecca Miano was named Attorney General CS.
