Wetangula Freezes Minority Leadership Change in Shock Ruling

The National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula blocked the Wiper Party’s attempt to take minority leadership through his administrative powers because of a “lethal” typing mistake in their official petition.

The rejection marks a humiliating setback for Kalonzo Musyoka, who has been aggressively moving to purge the “old guard” from the Azimio la Umoja coalition following the passing of Raila Odinga. The bid sought to officially strip Suna East MP Junet Mohamed of his minority leader position and replace him with a loyalist from the Kalonzo camp.

The ruling made by Wetangula has stopped the opposition from completing their restructuring process because it has turned their major political change into a clerical joke.

The standoff produces a “twisted” situation that shows “grammatical sabotage” as the main cause. The speaker rejected the request because of technical problems that existed in the communication, but political insiders suspect that the mistake happened because someone inside the operation wanted to safeguard Junet Mohamed.

Wetangula has used a basic procedural obstacle to maintain existing parliamentary conditions because he wants to avoid a disruptive floor discussion.

The error serves as a miraculous reprieve for Junet Mohamed. The public announcement serves as an indictment against Kalonzo Musyoka because it shows his team’s inability to do their job properly.

The new Azimio failed to create a valid replacement letter, which caused their administrative operation to become completely inactive during a period when they needed to show strength against the Kenya Kwanza administration.
