Wajackoya joins Kenyans in Dallas to reject Finance Bill 2024.

Ex-presidential candidate George Wajackoyah joined scores of Kenyans who took to the streets in Dallas, Texas, to reject the proposed Finance Bill 2024.

In a video from Sunday, June 23, the politician is seen dressed in jeans, a shirt, and his trademark headgear.

Last week, Kenyans living abroad had announced their solidarity with the protesters in  Nairobi. So far, Kenyans in Italy, the US, London, and Germany have voiced their opposition to the taxation measures in the proposed bill.

This week, there are planned activities from the 21st to the 27th, dubbed “7 Days of Rage.” A fierce poster promoting the events reads:

“Despite our collective cry rejecting the Finance Bill 2024, Parliament gave Zakayo the right to wrong 54 million Kenyans. We reject the Finance Bill in its entirety.

Despite our peaceful protests, police have responded with bullets, killing two of our own, maiming many others, and leaving one person in critical condition.

We refuse to be silenced, so we’re marching on.” The poster also lists the action points for the seven days of protests.
