SHOWDOWN LOOMS! Furious Opposition Threatens Legal War Over IEBC Recruitment—Accuses Ruto of Power Grab!

A political storm is brewing as furious opposition leaders vow to block the ongoing recruitment of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) commissioners, warning of dire legal consequences if they are sidelined in the process.

“WE WILL STOP THIS!”

During an explosive press conference on Tuesday, April 1, a defiant coalition led by Eugene Wamalwa (DAP-K), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), and Martha Karua (PLP) issued a stark warning: If Ruto’s government proceeds without consulting them, they will take the battle to court!

BETRAYAL & UNCONSTITUTIONAL MOVES?

The enraged leaders slammed the recruitment process as unconstitutional and a betrayal of the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) agreements. “This is an insult to democracy!” Wamalwa declared.

He accused Kenya Kwanza of disregarding the very agreements meant to ensure fairness in national governance.

“Raila is no longer opposition!”

In a jaw-dropping claim, Wamalwa distanced Raila Odinga from the opposition, arguing that his deal with President Ruto has effectively aligned him with the government.

“The NADCO report is clear—Raila is on the other side now. Those of us who remain in opposition stand with the people!” he emphasized.

LEGAL WAR LOOMING!

With the IEBC selection panel having already interviewed 11 candidates for chairperson, opposition figures are gearing up for a court battle to shut down the process!

“We are putting Raila and Ruto on notice: We will not recognize this IEBC chairperson. We are prepared to fight this in court!” Wamalwa thundered.

Kalonzo echoed the warning, vowing to keep a watchful eye to ensure that the commission is not hijacked by one political faction.

“We will not sit back and let one side dictate the IEBC appointments. If this commission is taken over, the entire world will see that it belongs to William Ruto—and we will NOT allow that!” Kalonzo warned.

NATIONWIDE SHOWDOWN?

With the opposition threatening legal action and refusing to recognize the IEBC chair, Kenya could be headed for a major political crisis!

Will Ruto push forward, or will the courts intervene to stop the appointments?

The battle for Kenya’s electoral body has just begun!
