SHOCKING: Ex-CJ Maraga Blasts Ruto Gov’t Over Abductions, Warns of National Crisis!

Former Chief Justice David Maraga has strongly condemned the recent surge in state-linked abductions and killings of young Kenyans, calling them a grave betrayal of the nation’s future and constitutional values.

Speaking on Friday, Maraga stressed that every Kenyan, particularly the youth, deserves to live without fear to pursue their ambitions. His remarks echo growing calls for President William Ruto to take urgent action to end these abductions.

“A government that enables a culture of extrajudicial killings and human rights abuses loses its moral authority. We cannot remain silent while our fellow citizens are targeted,” Maraga declared.

He demanded the immediate release of all individuals held incommunicado and called for justice for the victims and their families. Maraga urged Kenyans to unite in defending the rule of law and constitutional integrity.

His statement follows the tragic discovery of two missing brothers from Mlolongo, who were abducted and later found dead after more than a month.

“We mourn the loss of Martin Mwau and Justus Musyimi. To their families and those still searching for their loved ones, we stand with you in your pursuit of justice,” Maraga said.

Denouncing the ongoing wave of kidnappings and killings, he urged the nation to speak out. “We must say EnoughIsEnough! EndAbductionsNow! This violence against young Kenyans is a stain on our collective conscience.”

Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi also weighed in, urging President Ruto to act swiftly. While visiting grieving families at the Nairobi Funeral Home, Muturi proposed forming a commission of inquiry to investigate these cases.

“The primary role of government is to protect its citizens, not to harm them. This matter requires immediate intervention from the highest office,” Muturi asserted.

He also demanded accountability from those behind the disappearances, insisting that every Kenyan has the right to express their views without fear.

Macharia Njeru, former chair of IPOA, accused security agencies of complicity, asserting that such crimes cannot occur without their knowledge. “The Interior Ministry, police, and intelligence services are fully aware of these abductions. It’s time they stopped pretending,” he posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Narc Kenya Party leader Martha Karua called for urgent collective action, warning that the escalating violence is a national crisis.

“We need a civil society conference to strategize on stopping this menace. If one Kenyan is unsafe, then none of us are safe. The time to act is now,” Karua urged.
