Ruto’s Winning Streak: 2027 Election Victory in Sight!

Without Raila in the race, Ruto expresses confidence in easily winning the 2027 election.

President William Ruto has voiced strong confidence in securing victory in the 2027 election, despite facing significant criticism of his administration.

While speaking in Uasin Gishu, Ruto suggested that his path to re-election would be uncomplicated in the absence of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, whom he does not view as a contender.

He remarked that his primary competition lies in measuring up to his own record, which he believes is commendable.

“Currently, I have not observed any substantial competition. My competition is with my track record, and I see no other challengers,” he stated to the audience in Uasin Gishu yesterday.

“Many perceive my efforts as ineffective due to delays, but I inherited a country in dire conditions,” he further commented.

Ruto’s renewed assurance follows his strategic move to marginalize his key rival, Raila Odinga, by forming an inclusive government with him.

Additionally, Ruto has mended ties with former President Uhuru Kenyatta, having met him at his home in Ichaweri last year.

With both Uhuru and Raila appearing to be in agreement with him, Ruto is now optimistic about his chances in the 2027 elections.

Currently, Azimio co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka, former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i, and Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah have shown interest in challenging Ruto.
