PZ Cussons Under Fire: Whistleblower Exposes Toxic Work Culture and Employee Abuse”

PZ Cussons Manager, CORNELIUS MUTHAMA, mistreats female employees rejecting his advances – Insider reveals a toxic work culture at the company.
Employees at PZ Cussons East Africa, represented by Interactive Communication Agency (IC), have voiced concerns over substandard working conditions and inadequate pay.
One worker revealed that salaries have stagnated for years, despite increased workloads.
There is a lack of appreciation for employee efforts, and leave days are restricted to three.
Workers report ongoing harassment, with those speaking up being dismissed without notification.
Many continue to endure this environment out of fear of job loss, as the difficult economic climate limits alternative employment options.
Employees have also highlighted a Project Manager whom they accuse of mistreatment.
Some claim that women rejecting his advances face specific harassment that drives them from their jobs.
Requests for salary increases are frequently ignored, and concerns are often dismissed.
They contend that the company prioritizes product expansion over the welfare of its employees who contribute to its success.
Last year, PZ Cussons opened a new branch, yet workers reported receiving no token of appreciation, not even a small gift.
Employees demand better pay and fair treatment, believing that a company of PZ Cussons’ caliber can provide appropriate compensation.
They seek an end to the constant fear that pervades their workplace.
“Hi Cyprian. I need your help, but please keep my identity confidential for my safety. I work at PZ Cussons East Africa under Interactive Communication Agency (IC). In my years here, I’ve never received recognition. My salary is 17kyes, just 17k. Leave days are limited to three, and complaints lead to dismissal. We face daily harassment, but due to the economy and job scarcity, we feel powerless. We live in fear.
The project manager, Cornelius Muthama, is the primary issue; if you stand up to him, he ensures you face frustration until you are let go. We have requested salary increases, but they ignore us while continuously launching new products.
Last year, they introduced the new Venus range, but we received no gift or voucher; it’s deeply frustrating.
Please assist us in obtaining a salary increase and freeing us from the fear of sudden dismissal, as PZ is a prominent brand and can better compensate its employees. Thank you. “
