Peter Salasya Declares 2027 Presidential Bid!

Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has made a shock declaration — he’s going for the top job in 2027! That’s right, the flamboyant young legislator is officially throwing his hat into the presidential ring, and Kenyans are stunned.

Early Monday morning, Salasya dropped the unexpected announcement, stating that after intense soul-searching and consultations, he has decided to take the bold leap. The MP, known for his charisma and unpredictable moves, didn’t hold back:

“My fellow Kenyans, the time has come. After evaluating the state of our nation, I have resolved to run for President of the Republic of Kenya in 2027,” Salasya declared with unshaken confidence.

But that’s not all — his candidacy isn’t just about politics. It’s a mission to revolutionize the country. Salasya is pushing a radical agenda: ending the export of Kenyan talent, jumpstarting local job creation, and turning Kenya into a hub of industrial innovation.

“We’re done outsourcing our potential. Kenya can produce, build, and lead. Our people deserve jobs here, not in foreign lands,” he emphasized.

And here comes the real curveball: Salasya is forming a brand-new political party! The party, which he says will be unveiled before the year ends, aims to become a powerhouse for “ordinary dreamers, hustlers, and visionaries.”

“This is a movement, not just a campaign. It’s for every youth, every woman, every worker who’s been ignored. We’re building a new Kenya, from the ground up.”

His announcement sends ripples across the already-crowded field of 2027 presidential hopefuls — which includes major names like Kalonzo Musyoka, Martha Karua, Eugene Wamalwa, Fred Matiang’i, and even Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who recently confirmed on Weru TV that the opposition coalition will settle on one flag bearer closer to the polls.

Also eyeing State House are Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah and former Chief Justice David Maraga.

With Salasya now in the race and launching what he describes as a revolutionary movement, the road to 2027 just got way more unpredictable.
