Kalonzo Musyoka Elected New Azimio Leader.

Kalonzo Musyoka has taken over as the new coalition leader, succeeding Raila Odinga as he transitions to continental leadership.

This transition was officially marked with the launch of Raila’s AUC candidature at Nairobi State House. This signaled his exit from local politics.

Kalonzo’s first official duty as the new leader was chairing a town hall meeting at Ufungamano House. He engaged with the youth and other stakeholders.

The town hall meeting was attended by Gen Z, Kenyan youth, private sector, and civil society. It focused on various issues like defending the constitution and education.

Kalonzo showcased his dance moves to the popular Arbantone tune ‘Anguka Nayo’ during the event. This reflected his commitment to standing with Gen Z in demanding accountability from the government.

The coalition members made the decision to appoint Kalonzo as the new leader through consensus. Eugene Wamalwa expressed confidence in Kalonzo’s leadership.

Raila is preparing to seek the African Union Commission chairperson position. Kalonzo’s leadership role in the coalition is set to strengthen Azimio’s position.

The coalition’s co-principals endorsed Kalonzo as the new leader, emphasizing that there will be no leadership vacuum with his appointment.

Kalonzo’s experience and leadership qualities position him as a key figure in the coalition’s future endeavors. His experience ensures continuity and strength as the coalition moves ahead.
