Inside the Cold-Blooded Move to Oust Sifuna from the Orange Throne

The “Chungwa” firewall has finally breached from its internal system. The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has suspended Edwin Sifuna its Secretary General through a high-stakes show-cause letter which accuses him of serious misconduct.

The disciplinary strike against Sifuna shows that the party’s main leader who built its modern identity has lost his power within Kenya’s biggest opposition group. The letter describes Sifuna’s actions as “insubordination” and “procedural breaches” but the actual situation describes Sifuna as a target for “Strategic Exorcism” according to “twisted” reality.

Sifuna’s aggressive political style which he uses without compromise has become an expensive burden for ODM as the party moves toward a “Broad-Based” alliance with the current government. The new leadership under Simba Arati and Gladys Wanga wants to control the party’s secretariat because they believe it must operate according to state cooperation standards. By serving Sifuna the party shows that its “Resistance” period has reached an end.

This punishment goes beyond a minor reprimand because it functions as a “Legal Guillotine.” The ODM National Executive Committee (NEC) has established a formal show-cause procedure which enables the party to permanently remove members through an official process.

The “Lion of Nairobi” will lose his power to speak if the “Orange House” becomes a corporate organization that treats all opposition to the new “Cooperation Doctrine” as a serious violation.
