Bomet Governor Hillary Barchok’s second wife has been taken into custody by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) in connection with corruption charges.
She was apprehended alongside her husband during a raid by EACC officers at the Governor’s residence in Kapkimolwo, Bomet East constituency.
EACC spokesperson Eric Ngumbi stated that this operation is part of ongoing investigations into allegations of conflict of interest and public fund misappropriation involving both the Governor and his second wife.
