A Pregnant woman collapses, dies after complaining of stomach pain in Nairobi.

Police have launched investigations after a pregnant woman collapsed and died on the road in Korogocho slums, Nairobi.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on Sunday August 11, 2024 at night.

Witnesses told police that the woman had visited a chemist for medical assistance in the area, while complaining of stomach cramps.

At that time, the chemist attendant gave her a painkiller and advised her to seek medical help from a clinic.

After leaving the chemist, she walked for a few metres before collapsing. She died on the spot, along the road. 

Residents alerted the police who visited the scene and found the body of the woman lying on the road.

The body was moved to the city mortuary pending autopsy.
