Raila Drops Bombshell: Removing Ruto Won’t Solve Kenya’s Crisis!

Opposition leader Raila Odinga has downplayed the push to remove President William Ruto from office, arguing that it won’t resolve Kenya’s economic struggles.

Speaking at the funeral of retired pilot Colonel James Nguyo Gitahi in Maanzoni, Machakos County, Odinga responded to critics questioning his cooperation with Ruto’s administration.

He dismissed the #RutoMustGo movement, stating that ousting the president wouldn’t fix the skyrocketing cost of living, rampant taxation, or corruption.

“Kenyans must endure until 2027. Removing Ruto won’t magically solve our problems,” Odinga remarked.

He criticized the constant electioneering, saying endless political battles were stalling national progress.

“There’s a time for campaigns, and there’s a time for work. Let’s focus on real issues now; the elections will come,” he added.

Odinga also hinted at stepping aside in 2027, responding to claims that he is too old to run again.

His comments follow mounting pressure from opposition figures calling for Ruto’s removal, fueling national political tension.
