Ruto Rejects One-Term Rumors, Clashes with Gachagua!

President William Ruto has rejected rumors suggesting he plans to serve only one term, asserting that the 2027 General Election will follow the same course as previous ones.

Speaking during a three-day trip to Northeastern Kenya, Ruto dismissed the ongoing speculation about his political future.

“Some people claim I’ll be a one-term president, but that’s not my concern. The 2027 election will be just like the past ones,” he said. Ruto urged Kenyans to remain patient, stressing that the next election is still years away.

“Everyone should relax and wait for 2027. There are no elections this year or next,” he added.

The President reiterated his focus on his developmental agenda, particularly in infrastructure, education, and healthcare.

“I am committed to transforming Kenya. No one will intimidate me over 2027,” Ruto declared.

Highlighting his long political career, Ruto emphasized his extensive experience in leadership.

“I’ve served as a Member of Parliament for 15 years, Deputy President for 10 years, and now I am President. What more experience do I need?” he asked.

His remarks come amid growing opposition from former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who recently expressed plans to oppose Ruto’s potential re-election bid.

“We are united and will do everything possible to ensure Ruto serves just one term,” Gachagua stated.

Gachagua has previously accused Ruto of sidelining his ministers and running the government as a “one-man show.”

“The government is run as a one-man show, with Ruto insisting on total control while ministers are left as mere figureheads. I was the only one who could speak up and say, ‘this doesn’t work.’ It’s a choir of praise and worship, and I couldn’t fit in,” Gachagua claimed.
