Kabogo Critiques Muturi’s Public Accusation of Ruto Over Son’s Abduction
ICT Cabinet Secretary nominee William Kabogo has reprimanded Public Service CS Justin Muturi for publicly accusing President William Ruto and his administration regarding abductions in the country.
During his parliamentary vetting yesterday, Kabogo labeled Muturi’s actions as irresponsible, emphasizing that such issues should be addressed through internal government channels rather than made public.
“From my perspective, Hon. JB Muturi’s actions were highly irresponsible. In his position, I would have expressed my concerns to the appointing authority, and if I felt uneasy, I would bring it to the Cabinet. If unsatisfied, I would resign, as I do not support the government’s actions,” Kabogo stated.
He was responding to an inquiry from MP Owen Baya regarding the collective responsibility of government officials and his approach to a similar situation.
Kabogo further criticized Muturi, asserting that many politicians prioritize their re-election over the consequences of their decisions.
“I consider myself more of a leader than a politician, as a politician focuses on the next election, while a leader is concerned with the next generation,” he remarked.
