Ruto Tackles one-Term Rumours

Ruto Addresses Concerns About Serving Only One Term

President William Ruto has refuted claims from critics that he will serve a single term, expressing his appreciation for the chance to lead the nation.

During a church service at Dagoretti North in Nairobi on Sunday, January 12, he noted that many initially doubted his ascent to the presidency.

The President credited his leadership to divine guidance, stating that despite his modest beginnings, God entrusted him with the authority to govern.

“There are those discussing terms, but there were people who doubted I would ever have a term. Who is God? I am grateful for the chance to lead this nation.

“I rose from humble beginnings, and my family was not well-known. I take pride in being the President of Kenya, and I am committed to fulfilling the responsibilities God has given me in this country,” President Ruto affirmed.

He urged Kenyans to unite in nation-building, emphasizing that no one individual or region can accomplish this alone.

His comments followed his assertion that his government’s performance will be his main competitor in the 2027 General Election.

On January 9, the President stated there was no room for intimidation, asserting that the economy is thriving due to his administration’s initiatives.

“I urge my fellow leaders to collaborate. Political time will come, and threats hold no value. When the time comes, let everyone present their agenda,” President Ruto stated.
