Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has criticized his successor Kithure Kindiki, asserting that Kindiki is unlikely to oppose President William Ruto’s decisions if they contradict the will of the Kenyan people.
Speaking during a church service in Murang’a on Sunday, Gachagua claimed he was the only one courageous enough to challenge Ruto, advocating against the oppression of ordinary citizens.
He suggested that his successor is merely an employee of the president, beholden to support the president’s decisions regardless of their consequences for the nation.
“I want to ask our government: We were elected by the people, so let us listen to them. ” “I was the sole person representing my viewpoint in the government. ”
The individual who took my seat is unable to speak as they are an employee of the president. “There is nothing he can do. ” “They convey the president’s messages,” Gachagua stated.
