Victims Demand Compensation as Kenya Power Blamed for Inferno at Protestant PAG Church in Mukuru Kwa Njenga.

Earlier this month PAG Church in Mukuru Kwa Njenga was destroyed by a fire caused by an electrical fault that resulted in extensive damage to nearby properties.

The blaze which broke out on August 6, 2024 affected several structures including the Mary Ipolita Dispensary and left families homeless and exposed ongoing issues with illegal electricity connections.

The community is calling for Kenya Power to be held accountable for the damages due to their alleged negligence and failure to address hazardous conditions.

Damages: 7 stalls, mabati storey building with 28 doors and partly the Mary Ipolita Dispensary.

Nothing was salvaged as families were left to sleep in the cold. The fire was caused by electrical fault in one of the stalls (third time).
