State ordered to pay Ksh.497.9 million to Garissa University attack victims.

A three-judge bench proved that the state had the responsibility of protecting them during the attack and as a result of its failure, students lost their lives, and their constitutional rights were violated.

The families of 148 students who lost their lives during the 2015 Garissa University college attack will receive Sh3 million each.

For the 14 who were injured, the court granted each different compensation of Ksh.56.9 million for suffering both physically and mentally.
