Orange Democratic Movement party leader, Dr. Oburu Odinga, has arrived in the country after going for a medical checkup in London.
According to reports, Dr. Oburu quietly left the country. It was later revealed that he had gone for a medical checkup.
Dr. Oburu was welcomed back into the country by Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi and ODM Party member Oketch Salah.
Meanwhile, there have been calls for the resignation of Energy CS Opiyo over the procurement of substandard fuel in the country.
According to reports, several government officials were arrested by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations in separate operations.
Sources familiar with the case have established that three spent the night in police custody while one was released on medical grounds.
The suspects were later released in an incident that caught the attention of several leaders who took to social media platforms to express their concern.
