Tensions further escalated as some demonstrators claimed to have crucial information about the attack, insisting that they were ready to submit the evidence to the investigative agencies.”We know the people who beat our Senator.

We have enough evidence, and we are ready to bring forward the evidence. As the people of Vihiga, we will not relax seeing one of us being beaten,” said one of the protesters.

Meanwhile, the Vihiga Senator is currently nursing injuries following an assault by a group of armed goons in Kisumu County on Wednesday, April 8.

Reports indicate that Osotsi had made a routine visit to the Acacia area to get a haircut before proceeding to the Java restaurant, where he met a friend and also interacted with some members of the public.

Moments later, a group of gun-wielding individuals confronted him, questioning him over his political allegiance before they proceeded to assault him.

Following the assault, Osotsi was airlifted to Nairobi, where he is currently receiving medical attention, with the full extent of his injuries yet to be officially confirmed.

The incident has sparked widespread outrage across the country, especially among the political class, with many leaders condemning the act of aggression against the lawmaker.
