Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has intensified political activities in Mbeere North, issuing a strong endorsement for parliamentary hopeful Newton Karish as the region heads toward the highly anticipated November 27, 2025 vote.
In a statement shared on X earlier today, Gachagua described villagers in the constituency as “awake, hardworking, and ready for change,” adding that he was personally walking with them “one by one, home by home, village by village” in support of Karish’s bid.
Gachagua said he spent the morning conducting a door-to-door vote drive, praising Karish as a people-centered leader capable of transforming the region. He portrayed the upcoming vote as a turning point for Mbeere North, framing Karish as the candidate who represents the aspirations of local households.
According to Gachagua, residents have shown strong interest in shifting their political direction, with the former DP insisting that the energy on the ground signals an imminent transformation. “Change is in Mbeere North,” he wrote, calling on voters to embrace what he described as a liberation moment for the constituency.
While Gachagua’s open political involvement continues to attract both praise and criticism at the national level, his latest message underscores his growing influence in grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2025 political calendar. His endorsement places Newton Karish at the center of a competitive race that is slowly gaining national attention.
As campaigns enter their final stretch, all eyes will be on Mbeere North to see whether Gachagua’s aggressive ground strategy will translate into electoral gains for his preferred candidate.
