Military Officer Commits Suicide at Eldoret Barracks with AK-47 – Read His Facebook Suicide Note

A Corporal took his own life on Monday morning at the 9KR Barracks in Eldoret, where military police are investigating the events surrounding his death.

Cpl Wycliffe Kellem Mukhwana shot himself around 11 am in the signal changing room after being assigned guard duties the previous day.

On his Facebook page, he left a suicide note expressing frustrations with senior officers, including being denied a pass and access to a loan due to incomplete paperwork. He had contemplated shooting a senior officer six times before his death.

The Military Police Unit is currently looking into the suicide note and the circumstances leading to the officer’s tragic decision.
