Student Dies After Falling Into a Septic Tank at School.

A student at Friends School Kamusinga tragically passed away after falling into a septic tank located within the school premises.

The Board of Management chairperson confirmed the incident. They stated that the learner was rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, the learner succumbed to the injuries. Efforts to save the student’s life were unsuccessful, leading to the somber mood at the school.

After the student’s death, an executive meeting was held to discuss safety and security measures at the school. Law enforcement officers launched an investigation into the incident.

Representatives from the Ministries of Education and Interior visited the school. The school community, including staff and students, were briefed on the situation to keep relative calm amidst the tragedy.

This unfortunate event adds to a series of recent student deaths under mysterious circumstances in the region. Just days before this incident, three students perished. Three pupils also lost their lives in a separate tragedy involving a car accident.

The driver initially fled the scene but later surrendered to the police. The community is grappling with these tragic losses and the need for enhanced safety measures in schools.

The school’s Board of Management emphasized the importance of addressing safety concerns. They pledged to set up a comprehensive plan to guarantee the well-being of students.

The incident has prompted discussions on improving security measures within the school premises to prevent similar accidents in the future. Authorities are working to give support to the school community during this challenging time.
