STATE HOUSE DRAMA! Top Mt Kenya Leaders SNUB Ruto’s CRUCIAL MEETING!

Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga and Public Service CS Justin Muturi were conspicuously absent from a high-stakes State House meeting convened by President William Ruto on Monday, March 24.

The closed-door session brought together Cabinet Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, and Governors from the Mt. Kenya region, with Ruto emphasizing its purpose—to review government development projects ahead of his visit to the area.

“We are synchronizing national and county priorities to accelerate growth, address citizens’ needs, and drive inclusive development,” the President stated.

Among the key attendees were Deputy President Kindiki Kithure and Governors Cecily Mbarire (Embu), Anne Waiguru (Kirinyaga), Kimani Wamatangi (Kiambu), Joshua Irungu (Laikipia), Muthomi Njuki (Tharaka Nithi), Irungu Kang’ata (Murang’a), Kiarie Badilisha (Nyandarua), and Isaac Mutuma (Meru).

However, Kahiga’s absence raised eyebrows, especially after a social media post revealed he had attended a scouting event in Nyeri instead.

“Today marks a historic moment for Nyeri County’s global recognition,” Kahiga wrote, announcing Nyeri’s official designation as the world’s Scout City.

CS Muturi, on the other hand, remained completely silent, fueling speculation. His recent absence from Cabinet meetings has been linked to unresolved concerns over extrajudicial killings and kidnappings.

“I have opted out of Cabinet meetings until the issue of enforced disappearances and unlawful killings is formally addressed by the government,” Muturi previously stated in an interview.

The no-shows have ignited speculation about growing rifts within Ruto’s inner circle, particularly regarding Mt. Kenya’s discontent with his leadership.
