Sifuna and Orengo Criticize Raila for Sycophancy towards Ruto

Fireworks as SIFUNA and ORENGO publicly reprimand RAILA and other ODM leaders for being RUTO’s sycophants

In an unexpected development, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga faced criticism from ODM leaders who accused him of being a sycophant of President William Ruto.

During the burial of former Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) chair Roseline Odede, ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna and Siaya Governor James Orengo targeted Raila and certain ODM members, alleging they were insensitive to the needs of Kenyans while aligning with Ruto.

The two leaders urged ODM members to refrain from sycophancy and to confront Ruto regarding ongoing injustices in the country.

Sifuna emphasized that the leaders of the Orange Party should not forget their duties to Kenyans despite their growing access to power.

Despite Raila’s directives, Sifuna indicated that some individuals within the prominent political group were attempting to undermine his efforts to enforce established guidelines.

Orengo supported Sifuna’s remarks, cautioning against excessive sycophancy.

“We (ODM) have an identity. If you forsake that identity for the sake of easy victories, we will face repercussions in the future. Compromises should only be made on principled matters. ”

“Do not engage in excessive praise and worship. When sycophancy prevails, people lose sight of their core principles,” Orengo affirmed.
