ODM National Treasurer Timothy Bosire made a dramatic plea on Friday, May 2, calling on Raila Odinga to throw his hat back into the presidential ring for 2027 — a move that could completely upend the nation’s political future.
Speaking during an emotional memorial service for the late Dr. Francis Ngaru, Bosire broke ranks with caution and tore into the current political climate, declaring that Raila’s time is NOW.
“I’ve walked side-by-side with Raila Amollo Odinga — a man of unmatched grit and honor. He was robbed of the chance to transform this nation. But 2027? That’s HIS year!” Bosire proclaimed, sending the Mt. Kenya audience into murmurs of both disbelief and agreement.
Bosire, famously known for rejecting an appointment by President Ruto to chair the NTSA board, didn’t mince words. He proclaimed Raila not only as the best-suited candidate but the only one capable of steering Kenya out of its current political quagmire.
“This region, which once doubted him, is ready. Mt. Kenya has learned. The tide has turned. Raila has a clear path to State House!”
Meanwhile, another bomb dropped from Nairobi Woman Rep Esther Passaris, who cautioned against rushing Raila into a presidential campaign.
“Let’s not pressure him. Let him guide us at his pace. He’s earned that right,” Passaris said, adding a rare moment of restraint to an otherwise fiery day.
At the time of the announcement, Raila had yet to issue a response, but insiders suggest that discussions behind closed doors are heating up.
Even Moses Kuria, Ruto’s own Senior Economic Advisor, couldn’t help but praise Raila, calling him a “master strategist,” although he conspicuously dodged any talk of 2027 succession.
The question now burning in every Kenyan’s mind: Will Raila say yes to destiny — one last time?
