Senator Khalwale’s Son Survives Deadly Crash!

Senator Bonnie Khalwale has expressed his gratitude after his son miraculously survived a serious road accident on Tuesday, February 4. This is the second time one of his children has been involved in a crash and escaped unharmed.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday evening, Khalwale revealed that his son, Tigana Khalwale, was involved in a major collision at Ainabkoi along the Eldoret-Nakuru Highway.

Images from the scene show the car’s front end severely damaged, with a shattered windscreen and a nearly detached bumper. The impact primarily affected the left side, leaving the front section mangled. The side mirror was also destroyed.

Additional photos reveal that the vehicle’s bonnet was crushed and bent inward due to the force of the collision. The roof near the windscreen sustained visible damage, appearing caved in. Reports indicate that the left-side airbag deployed, but it remains unclear whether the driver’s airbag was activated.

Despite the extensive damage, Khalwale confirmed that his son walked away from the accident without a single injury. “He came out unscathed! God is good!” he exclaimed.

This near-tragic event comes nearly six years after four of Khalwale’s children were involved in a separate accident in August 2018. Their vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a ditch in Kaimosi, Kakamega County. At the time, Khalwale praised his son Tigana for skillfully controlling the car to minimize the impact.

However, amid his gratitude, the senator is also mourning the tragic loss of his nephew, who perished in a separate incident.

On the evening of Monday, February 3, a fatal accident at the Tumaini gold mine in Museno Village, Shinyalu Constituency, Kakamega County, claimed multiple lives. At least three fatalities were confirmed.

Rescue teams have been working tirelessly following the mine collapse. Officials reported that 19 miners were pulled out alive, while three remain unaccounted for out of the 22 who were initially trapped.

“I am at Machilishi village in Shinyalu Constituency, where a gold mine collapsed last night, trapping 22 men. So far, 19 have been rescued, and three are feared dead, including my nephew, Sasita Chui,” Khalwale stated.
