
President William Ruto has appointed Ndungu Gathinji as the new chairperson of the Tea Board of Kenya.
In a Gazette Notice issued on Monday, February 17, Ruto announced that Gathinji will serve a three-year term on the board.
As a result, Jacob Kamau Kahiu’s appointment has been revoked by the President.
In other government appointments, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has named Kungu Muigai as the chairperson of the Kenya Cultural Centre Council.

Additionally, Mudavadi appointed John Odek Odek to the Board of Directors of the National Museums of Kenya.
Education CS Julius Ogamba has selected Yussuf Abdullahi Mohammed and Rosemary Talaso to join the National Council for Nomadic Education in Kenya for a three-year term.
At the Ministry of Energy, CS Opiyo Wandayi appointed Sally Akinyo Omotto to the board of the National Oil Corporation of Kenya.
Moreover, CS Davis Chirchir appointed Fozia Ali Hassan as a member of the Transport Licensing Appeals Board within the Ministry of Transport.
Labor CS Alfred Mutua made several appointments to the Seafarers Wages Council, designating Mwinyi Mohamed Jahazi as chairperson, with Captain Peter Munga and Julius Segera as members.
