former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has made waves across Kenya’s political scene by revealing that embattled former Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi will be handed a top-tier role in a new political juggernaut—a party Gachagua is launching in just a few weeks!
Speaking in a fiery interview aired on Weru TV this past Sunday, Gachagua boldly announced that the official unveiling of his long-rumored party is imminent, with a grand nationwide launch set to shake the political foundations before May ends.
“Linturi is going to be a key figure—front and center—in this party I’m forming. We’re building something massive, something unstoppable. And once we launch, Kenya will feel our presence,” Gachagua declared with unwavering conviction.
He promised an all-inclusive political home, calling on citizens from every corner of the country to join a movement he says is driven by unity, power, and the people.

But that’s not all—Gachagua dropped yet another bombshell.
He confirmed that this new party is preparing to contest the upcoming by-elections, signaling the start of a nationwide offensive aimed at rattling the current regime and pulling support from disillusioned citizens.
“We’re not just talking. We’re organizing. We’re building strength on the ground. Our mission starts now,” he said.
Interestingly, Gachagua revealed that the party won’t rush into revealing a full manifesto just yet. Instead, the focus is on connecting directly with Kenyans and building trust. The official platform will drop ahead of the high-stakes 2027 General Election.
On the subject of former President Uhuru Kenyatta, Gachagua took a defiant tone—slamming President William Ruto’s inner circle for what he described as relentless provocation.
“Uhuru has stepped back. Let him enjoy peace. Stop sending your Rift Valley messengers to harass him. If Ruto has an issue, let him face Uhuru himself. We’ll be waiting,” Gachagua warned, addressing Ruto directly.
And then—without blinking—Gachagua officially announced his presidential ambitions.
“Yes, I will be on the ballot in 2027. We’re coming for Ruto. This won’t be a contest. It’ll be a political earthquake,” he said.
He hinted at a united front with opposition heavyweights like Kalonzo Musyoka, Martha Karua, Eugene Wamalwa, and Fred Matiang’i, suggesting they’ll rally behind one single candidate to take on the incumbent and aim for a crushing landslide victory—over 70% of the vote.
Kenya, brace yourselves. A political storm is brewing—and Gachagua just lit the fuse.
