Posta Kenya Increases Rates for Individual Mpost Virtual Boxes From Ksh400 to Ksh2000.

The Postal Corporation of Kenya (PCK) has hiked the rates of Mpost Virtual Boxes from Ksh400 to Ksh2000.

In a notice on Thursday, July 18, PCK Chief Executive Officer John Tonui disclosed that the new rates will take effect beginning July 5, 2024.

At the same time, Tonui intimated that the rates for corporate Mpost Virtual Boxes had also increased.

The new rates will be Ksh9,450, up from Ksh400. They would also take effect beginning July 5, 2024.

“PCK wishes to inform our esteemed customers and the general public that the rates for Mpost Virtual Boxes/Addresses for both Corporate and Individual, have been adjusted with effect from July 5, 2024,” read part of the notice by Tonui.

The PCK boss further noted that the corporation was committed to delivering innovative communication and logistical solutions to customers at all times.However, the move attracted backlash on social media, which led to the corporation deleting the notice it had shared on the X platform.

PCK is a state enterprise established under the PCK Act, 1998, and its mandate includes the provision of accessible, affordable and reliable postal services to all parts of Kenya as the Public Postal Licensee.

Mpost is an innovative solution that transforms mobile numbers into virtual addresses, guaranteeing precise and efficient delivery of mail and parcels for both individuals and businesses.
