ODM Lawmaker Claims Citizen TV Supports Gachagua to overthrow the government

An outspoken Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) lawmaker has accused Royal Media Services of serving Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. They believe it is being used to undermine President William Ruto.

In a Thursday social media post, Kileleshwa Ward MCA Robert Alai alleged that Deputy President Gachagua is employing Citizen TV clips in his defense against the impeachment motion.

He further suggested that this indicates SK Macharia’s media house was complicit in efforts to unseat President Ruto.

“Royal Media has been a significant collaborator in Riggy G’s attempt to oust Ruto. “It is ironic that their reporting clips are being utilized as evidence against him,” Alai stated.

Citizen TV is among the most-watched stations in the country and is highly esteemed by many Kenyans for presenting the perspectives of ordinary citizens rather than those of state or government officials.
