Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has urged Catholic Bishops to engage with President William Ruto following their accusations of dishonesty, corruption, and the failure to fulfill campaign promises.
The Bishops criticized Ruto’s administration for allegedly fostering a culture of deceit and neglecting the problem of abductions.
They expressed strong disapproval of the Kenya Kwanza administration, asserting that it has failed to maintain integrity and has resorted to spreading falsehoods about significant national issues.
Furthermore, the Bishops declined Ruto’s donation to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Soweto stated it was illicit money. In a statement on X, Khalwale urged the clergy to counsel and pray for the head of state.
Additionally, Khalwale requested that the clergy disregard the opinions of Ruto’s supporters, such as Oscar Sudi, regarding the Kenya Kwanza administration, asserting that their remarks did not represent Ruto’s administration.
“Regarding the Catholic bishops, I do not believe that Hon Sudi’s response to your well-considered critique of the government was made on behalf of the government. ” “Please agree to meet H. E. ” “Williams Ruto is to advise and pray for him,” said Khalwale.
