In a tweet, Kalonzo, who also leads the Wiper Democratic Movement party, asserted that the president utilized the 61st Jamhuri Day speech for self-praise rather than providing a serious and thoughtful national address.

The former vice president claimed that the president’s speech was purportedly crafted to deceive Kenyans.

“It is deeply disappointing that instead of the serious and thoughtful national address it should have been, the 61st Jamhuri Day Message today was a self-congratulatory ode of illusions and misinformation by President William Ruto. It was laden with false facts created by a Predatory Kenya Kwanza regime to mislead Kenyans,” Kalonzo remarked. Kenya travel insurance

The Wiper leader stated that Ruto’s speech did not reflect the vision of the founding figures who gave their lives for the nation’s independence.

“That does not represent the vision of our ancestors, who fought to liberate us from the harsh and degrading bondage of colonialism,” he asserted.
