Jalang’o in Deep Trouble Over Witchcraft Remarks – Shocking Demands Issued!

Lang’ata MP Phelix Odiwuor, famously known as Jalang’o, finds himself in boiling hot cultural soup after making eyebrow-raising comments about stumbling upon a clandestine meeting of witches in Kisii County!
Nairobi County’s Chief Environment Officer Geoffrey Mosiria has come forward with jaw-dropping demands for restitution, following a wave of outrage from the Kisii community. While Mosiria admitted the remarks were likely made in jest, he stressed that the damage was done—and it runs deep.
“You don’t joke about sacred traditions,” Mosiria declared. “Jalang’o must atone—and it won’t come cheap!”
According to Mosiria, Jalang’o is being ordered to produce:
- 🐄 1,000 cows
- 🐐 2,000 goats
- 🐏 3,000 rams
- 🍶 1,000 pots of traditional brew (busaa)
Estimated price tag? A staggering Ksh105 million! And that’s just for the animals.
Even more shocking: these livestock aren’t gifts—they must be sacrificed as part of a cleansing ritual! Mosiria insists the Lang’ata MP be accompanied by the Luo Council of Elders when he appears before Kisii elders at Manga Hills for the traditional plea for forgiveness.
“Only after fulfilling every condition will he be forgiven,” Mosiria warned. “Meanwhile, Japho is lighting up Kisii—literally!”

The tension stems from a controversial statement made by Jalang’o during a fundraiser in Kitutu Chache North. In his speech, he jokingly recounted overhearing alleged witches discussing how MP *Japhet Nyakundi’s streetlight projects were interfering with their nighttime ‘operations’.
But the joke didn’t land.
“Where we come from, private matters stay private,” Mosiria snapped. “We don’t host witch meetings in Gusii land. That’s a gross misrepresentation of our people and culture.”
As the outrage exploded, Jalang’o took to social media to desperately calm the storm:
“I am heartbroken that my words have been twisted. The Kisii people are my family—I meant no harm. Please watch the full clip and see the real message.”
But the storm is far from over.
Stay tuned… because if these demands stand, Jalang’o may soon become the most expensive jokester in Kenya’s political history.
Witchcraft? Tradition? Or just a joke gone horribly wrong? Kenya’s watching—and so is the world.
