Panic has gripped Juja town after local Member of Parliament George Koimburi mysteriously disappeared on Friday in what witnesses describe as a “terrifying daylight abduction.”

According to multiple eyewitness accounts, chaos erupted at Gachororo Primary School moments after the MP finished awarding scholarships. A group believed to be plain-clothed security agents allegedly confronted Koimburi, sparking a dramatic car chase through Juja streets.

Sources say the MP fled the scene on a motorcycle in a desperate bid to evade capture. His official vehicle was intercepted, and his driver was taken into custody and later released from DCI headquarters late Friday evening.

Now, lawyers representing Koimburi are sounding the alarm, calling the operation not just illegal, but an outright violation of a court order. According to them, Koimburi had secured legal protection from arrest earlier this year after facing fraud charges at the Kiambu Law Courts in February.
