Kakamega County Deputy Governor Ayub Savula has said former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and his Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party are free to join President William Ruto’s government.
Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and his Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party are free to join President William Ruto’s government, according to Kakamega County Deputy Governor Ayub Savula.
Savula urged the co-principals of Azimio—Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, DAP-K leader Eugene Wamalwa, Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua, Roots Party leader George Wajackoyah, and Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni—to accept their opposition roles and allow ODM to direct its political course in his speech on Sunday.
“We can’t stand to allow resistance to kick the bucket in Kenya since today it is Gen Z playing the resistance job of actually taking a look at the overabundances of the public authority.
“Raila is at freedom along with his soldiers to proceed to join Ruto’s administration in the event that he so wishes, Azimio’s co-chiefs permit him to proceed to expect the job of the authority resistance in Kenya with the assistance of our adolescents,” Savula added.
We are content to remain in opposition and do not intend to join the government in order to secure Cabinet Secretary positions.
“We run the risk of returning to a one-party state if we do not take on the role of a strong opposition. “We want to give governing rules on issues like consumption, debasement, and the significant expense of living,” Savula said.
In addition, the deputy county boss urged Generation Z to exert pressure on legislators to properly vet Cabinet Secretary nominees to ensure their suitability for the position.
