Horror in Kisii as Building Crashes Down – Dozens Feared Buried Alive!

Panic and chaos have erupted in Itierio, Kisii County, after a four-story building under construction came crashing down like a house of cards on Sunday, April 6 – leaving an unknown number of people trapped beneath the debris!

Rescue operations are unfolding in real-time as Kisii emergency crews and police race against the clock to pull survivors from the wreckage. Eyewitnesses report scenes of absolute devastation near Itierio Mixed Primary School in Suneka, where the collapsed structure flattened nearby homes and businesses without warning.

“This is a disaster zone. People are screaming, businesses have been wiped out, and we’re even hearing reports of looting as the chaos intensifies,” one report revealed from the ground.

Bulldozers and excavators sent by the Kisii County Government are digging frantically through the rubble in hopes of finding survivors – but the scale of destruction has left many fearing the worst.

And this catastrophe comes hot on the heels of another structural scare: just three days ago, an 11-story apartment complex near Coast General Hospital in Mombasa was abruptly evacuated after massive cracks tore through the building following heavy rains.

According to officials, the building’s basement had already collapsed – despite the structure being occupied and still under construction. “One of the floors has completely sunk. The building is slanted, and it’s obvious this was never built to code,” said Mombasa Fire and Disaster Chief Officer, Ibrahim Basafar.

Investigations later confirmed the construction violated multiple safety standards. Authorities warned that if the Mombasa structure gave way, it could pose a direct threat to the nearby hospital, potentially turning the area into another disaster zone.

With lives hanging in the balance in both Kisii and Mombasa, urgent questions are now being asked: Who allowed these ticking time bombs to be built in the first place? And how many more are out there?

Stay with us for more on this developing tragedy.
