Woman Scalds Husband with Boiling Water, Attacks Him with Machete over plans to marry second wife!

Authorities in Migori County have apprehended a woman accused of severely injuring her husband by dousing him with boiling water before attacking him with a machete in Kadar-Posi village, Uriri.

According to North Kanyamkago area chief Silvance Owiti, the victim, Evance Odhiambo, suffered serious burns and deep cuts after the assault, which took place on Saturday night around 9 p.m. His wife, Emilly Otieno, allegedly carried out the violent attack, leaving him with multiple wounds on his head and other parts of his body.

Neighbors rushed Odhiambo to Migori Level Four Hospital, where he is currently receiving medical care. Meanwhile, the suspect has been taken into police custody as investigations continue.

While the exact reason behind the assault is still unclear, preliminary findings suggest that the attack was triggered by allegations that Odhiambo was planning to take a second wife. Authorities are continuing their inquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
