Kaluma Contradicts Orengo and Sifuna, Declares ODM Part of Ruto’s Government

Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma has dismissed claims by top ODM officials, including Siaya Governor James Orengo and Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, that the party is in opposition. Speaking during a radio interview, Kaluma insisted that ODM and its leader Raila Odinga are part of President William Ruto’s government. He argued that the 2010 Constitution does not recognize opposition, criticizing Orengo for clinging to outdated notions from the old constitutional era. Kaluma challenged anyone to find the term “opposition” in the current constitution, promising Ksh1 million for proof.
