Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has conveyed his belief in the Kenya Kwanza government’s commitment to revitalizing the economy.

Addressing attendees at a church service at Gospel Outreach Church in Kyuso, Mwingi North, on Sunday, Kindiki reassured Kenyans enduring difficult economic conditions that relief is forthcoming.

The deputy president indicated that President William Ruto’s administration aims to stabilize the economy prior to the 2027 General Election.

He noted that although the country’s economic situation is challenging, the current administration has implemented initiatives to realign the economy.

“I wish to confirm to Kenyans that within two to three years, our economy will reach its intended state.

“Where we have come from is considerable. The most challenging phase of the journey is behind us as micro indicators show improvement,” Kindiki stated.

Emphasizing government accomplishments such as lower fuel prices, Kindiki encouraged Kenyans to exercise patience with Ruto’s administration.

“The fuel price has stabilized, the cost of food has decreased, and the exchange rate is favorable.

“I kindly ask for a bit of patience, and we will reach our goals.

“For the first time in ten years, Kenya will not import any sugar. For the first time in many years, Kenya will not import maize.

“We acknowledge that we are not there yet, and much work still lies ahead, but we will attain our objectives,” Kindiki expressed.
