Military Officer Loses Sh1.5m to Mchele Gang in Eldoret Nightclub.

A senior military officer visiting Eldoret ended up losing Sh1.5 million to a woman he met at a nightclub.

The officer, on his way home from Nairobi, decided to stop in Eldoret for some relaxation. A woman at the club, dressed provocatively, accompanied him, ordering food and drinks using his phone for payments.

The officer later discovered the woman had disappeared, along with his money, after they left the club.

The victim, hesitant to involve the police due to potential family repercussions, expressed his reluctance to file a formal report.

The incident sheds light on the rise of “mchele” gang activities, where thieves drug victims with substances resembling rice grains.

This phenomenon has been linked to cases of drugging and robbing individuals in various urban centers, including Eldoret. Rogue pharmacists are reportedly supplying the stupefying drugs used by these criminals.

Cases of drugging and theft have been reported in Eldoret, with victims losing significant amounts of money. The drugs used by the criminals include Rohypnol and Valium.

These drugs lead to symptoms like slurred speech, poor coordination, and memory loss. Authorities have been urged to investigate these criminal activities. They must crack down on them to protect individuals from falling victim to such schemes.
