study by Mwelekeo Insights shows

60% of Nairobi Women fear marriage would negatively impact on their personal freedoms while 25% are of the opinion that marriage would have a positive impact on their personal freedoms & 15% are neutral.

59% of Nairobi women interviewed believe that marriage isn’t necessary for a fulfilling life while 41% held the opinion that marriage is an integral step toward a fulfilling life.

67% of highly educated and career women do not consider marriage a priority & 37 % lower education level likely to priotize marriage.
